For the first time in Gambian Football, a Referees Assessors training will be conducted by the Gambia Football Federation. The week long training program will kick off on Monday 21st October, 2019 at the National Technical Training Center (NTTC) in Yundum.

The training will be funded by the Gambia Football Federation and to be conducted by instructors from FIFA. It will be attended by twenty (27) participants across the Country. Amongst the participants at the maiden edition, will be stakeholders from the Regional Football Associations where each Region will be represented.

According to GFF Referees Manager, one primary condition to attending the training will be of a retired Referee and been a member of the Referees Association. Seedy Manneh said the remaining twenty (20) participants will be are Assessors from the 1st and 2nd Division leagues including locally trained FIFA instructors.

The training will be moderated by Felix Tangawarima, a member of CAF Referees Committee and FIFA/CAF Refereeing Instructor-Anglophone.  This will be Tangawarima’s second time in the Smiling Coast expected to bring together for the first time a Referees Assessors training in the Gambia and for the first time across the region.
