Job Description for the Position of Women’s Football Coordinator for The Gambia Football Federation

The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, charismatic and dedicated Women’s Football Coordinator to organise and deliver our Women’s Football Development programme in line with the National Football Development Plan (2022-2026).

Roles and Responsibilities

  1. To plan and deliver a range of programmes that will aid the grow and participation of women’s football
  2. To lead the development of new sessions to target new participation, develop new partnerships, and raise the profile of women’s football and to complete the monitoring and evaluation of the programmes.
  • The successful candidate will work directly under the Supervision of the Technical Director of the GFF, whilst working closely with other Units and Departments of the GFF as well as the Women’s Football sub-Committee.
  1. To be responsible for all the administrative related work to the programmes as well as to oversee the running of our women’s development programmes

Qualification and Experience

The Candidate:

  1. Must have at least a minimum of High School Certificate, and any other certificate of higher education will be an added advantage
  2. Be a former player who has played in the domestic women’s league of The Gambia for a period of at least five seasons.
  3. Be a woman and an experience playing for any category of the National Team of The Gambia will serve as an added advantage.
  4. A CAF C License coaching certificate or its equivalence will be an added advantage.
  5. Must be passionate about and committed to the development of women’s football and must have experience in working with young girls.
  6. Must serve in an administrative position for a minimum of five years.
  7. Must be able to work under pressure, handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines & comfortable dealing with parents with excellent communication and IT skills.
  8. Must demonstrate that they can provide clarity, direction and inspiration of what can be achieved for young girls, and demanding the highest standards of their players.
  9. Must demonstrate that they can work hard both individually and within a team to complete work to a high standard, providing evidence of how they continually look for ways of improving individual and team performance.
