The President of The Gambia Football Federation Lamin Kabba Bajo has congratulated Maitre Augustine Senghore, President of Senegalese Football Federation for his re-election victory that was held over the weekend in Dakar.

In a letter of congratulations sent to Senghore, President Bajo said it is with great pleasure and delight that he received the news of Maitre Senghore’s re-election as President of his esteemed Federation in an elective Congress held over the weekend.

‘In this regard, on behalf of the Executive of The Gambia Football Federation and on my own behalf, I wish to convey hearty felicitations and best wishes to you and your newly elected Executive’.

The GFF Boss further went on ‘Allow me Mr President to renew The Gambia’s resolve to further strengthen and renew the already cordial bilateral relationship between our two sister Federations for the development of football and promotion of the game in our common Senegambia region’.

A similar note of congratulation was also dispatched to Eng Moses Magogo President of Uganda Football Federation for his re election at an elective Congress held in Kampala, Uganda recently.

Mr Bajo said he is of great pleasure and delight to receive news of Moses Magogo’s re-election into the Presidency of FUFA.

‘My dear brother in this regard, on behalf of the Executive of The Gambia Football Federation and on my own behalf, I wish to convey hearty felicitations and best wishes to you and your newly elected executive’.

Mr Bajo assured both Maitre Augustine Senghore and Eng Moses Magogo of his highest consideration and fraternal esteem.

Mr Bajo in another similar but separate development has dispatched a letter of condolences to his colleague and sister Madam Isha Johansen President of Sierra Leone Football Association on the mudslide and heavy down pour of rains that caused hundreds of deaths and havoc in Freetown.

Mr Bajo consoled with his colleague and states that The Gambia is feeling the deep pain and grief with the people of Sierra Leone on this devastating situation and assured Mrs Johansen of his unquestionable support to the cause of restoring sanity and peace in the sister republic of Sierra Leone.

Mr Bajo is among the latest world leaders including FIFA and CAF Presidents Gianni Infantino and Ahmed Ahmed who both dispatched similar messages to the Sierra Leone FA President on the mudslide and heavy rain that currently left the country with a number of deaths and destruction to property.
