Fenta Consultancy on Monday handed over two grounds to contractors for the commencement of works at the various mini stadiums across the country that are to be rehabilitated by The Gambia Football Federation (GFF). The two stadiums are Serrekunda West and Banjul.

Speaking at the Serrekunda West Mini Stadium, Mr. Bakary K. Jammeh, the first vice president of the GFF, who also doubles as the Federation’s Projects’ Manager, expressed his delight that the projects have been finally handed over following several months of hard work. He was, however, quick to add that the GFF is very much interested in the quality and timely completions of the projects.

The C.E.O. of Fenta Consultancy, Mr. Baboucarr Samega Janneh said his company has full confidence in the contractors that there will be a timely completion of the projects. Mr. Janneh added that work will commence very soon and the construction will last for six months.

From West, the delegation that also includes the General Secretary and the Finance Director of the GFF, Mr. Lamin Jassey and Mr. Kemo Ceesay respectively, headed to the King George the 5th (KG5) Mini Stadium in Banjul, where a similar ceremony took place. There, the contractors said the work would begin in May.
