The GFF Organizing Committee has reached a decision to award Team Rhino three points after it deliberated on a protest filed in against Young African FC for fielding an unqualified player Omar Norman at their League game played at Week Three.
The Organizing Committee at its meeting held recently had the opportunity to thoroughly review all the relevant records and thus concluded amongst other findings that Omar That Omar Norman was a registered player of London Boys FC in the Kanifing Regional 3rd Division for the 2016/17 seasons, that there is no trace of a transfer/clearance of the player from London Boys FC to Young African FC or to any other Club.
The OC further found out that the player needed a Clearance to move from London Boys FC to Young African FC and in the absence of that Young African FC has therefore violated the Player Transfer Rule Article 5.
The decision of the Organizing Committee is very clear on such issues. Player Omar Norman was not properly transferred to Young African FC and as a result, the Protest made by Team Rhino FC stands and thus hereby been awarded Three (3) Points Two (2) Goals, and nullifying the scores between the two (2) Clubs played on Friday November 14th 2018, at the Sere Kunda East Mini Stadium.
