GFF President Lamin Kaba Bajo leaves Banjul for Monrovia to cheer up the Gambia Young Scorpions at the Final of the West Africa Football Union ( WAFU ) slated for Saturday May 5th at the Samuel Kayon Doe Stadium in Monrovia at 18:00hrs.
The GFF Boss will be twined by Gambia’s legendary and veteran Footballer Alhagie Momodou Njie ( Biri ). The two Football Officials are expected to leave Banjul on Thursday night and would be part of the VIPs at the SKD Sports Complex where the Gambia will take on tournament hosts Liberia in the final.
President Bajo and Biri are expected to first meet with the Gambian team at their Palm Springs Hotel in Monrovia for a brief chat where the GFF President will again reiterates the Federation’s support to the Young Scorpions hence his physical presence to be with the team at the Final. Mr Bajo has earlier on during the cause of tournament been in constant contact with the team through the Head of delegation Lang Tombong Tamba and Team Manger Ousman Drammeh regarding their welfare.
