The domestic women’s first division league enters week seven this weekend with four matches to be played between Friday and Sunday in Basori.
The first match of the round will see Gambia Police Force entertain fourth place City Girls who goes into the match at the back of a grinding 1-0 defeat of Immigration the last weekend. City Girls, together with leaders Red Scorpions are the only remaining unbeaten side in the league.
However, they’ll face possibly their biggest test so far this season against a Police side that thrashed Brikama United 5-0 in the previous round and are second behind leaders, whom they trail by just two points.
Elsewhere, in the league, Immigration will be looking to secure their first win of the campaign when they take on Berewuleng in the first match of Saturday at 3pm. Bere is third on the standings with 11 points, two adrift of second place while Immigration is languishing at second from bottom with a mere two points.
The late match of the day will see sixth place Abuko United takes on the league leaders Red Scorpions. The final match of the week will come on Sunday when basement side Brikama United takes on Gambia Armed Forces.
