The Gambia takes pride again after the Scorpions made yet another significant rise on the FIFA/Coca-Cola World ranking recently released in June.
The Gambia is now ranked 161 globally after moving up to two places from 163 making a total of 1002.
The rise in the ranking is boosted by the Scorpions two friendly wins over Guinea Conakry and Morocco during the ten day training camp in Marrakech, Morocco. The two friendly matches came on the back of the return of Scorpions Coach Tom Sainfiet after his contract has been renewed with the Gambia Football Federation and resuming his duties with a positive sting over the Syli National and Atlas Lions are who are currently at the AFCON Finals in Egypt.
Senegal maintained the top spot on the continent and followed closely by Tunisia, Nigeria, Morocco and the DR Congo.
