The Gambia will play with the Central African Republic in a friendly international scheduled for Friday March 23rd in Banjul as part of the FIFA window of international friendlies across the world.
This will be the second time in a year that the two countries will square off in a competitive game the last time been March 27th, 2017 away for both sides in Rabat, Morocco where the Scorpions sting 2-1 with goals from Modou Barrow and Mustapha Carayol against their CAR opponents with a dominant display.
The Scorpions will continue their quest for an AFCON 2019 ticket in September, where Algeria lie in wait, before continuing with matches against Togo and Benin, all as part of Group D fixtures.
The Gambia Football Federation wishes to inform the general public that there is no plan to play the Harambe Stars of Kenya for a friendly in March.
The public is therefore been reminded that the Gambia’s confirmed fixture is with the CAR schedule for Banjul on Friday 23rd March, 2018
