Ahead of their first leg Africa Women’s Cup Of Nations ( AWCON ) Qualifier to Burkina Faso slated for April 7th, the Gambia Women’s Scorpions continue to hone their skills in a warm up match with their equivalents in Morocco which ended 2-1 to the hosts on Monday 2nd April in Rabat.
The Gambia opened the scoring through Adama Tamba in the first period but only for the hosts to pull one back courtesy of a converted spot kick before increasing the numbering to two and thus eventually ending the friendly 2-1 to the hosts.
Meanwhile the Women’s Scorpions are winding up their technical preparation in Morocco and are schedule to fly out to Burkina Faso from Cassablanca on Wednesday 4th April ahead of their schedule match on Saturday 7th April in Ouagadougou against their Burkinabe equivalents. The return leg in Banjul is billed for Tuesday 10th April at the Independence Stadium in Bakau at 4:30pm.
The Gambia Football Federation has recently announced ticket prices for next week’s Women’s Football Qualifier. According to the GFF Events Management Committee, entry into the Independence Stadium would be according to affordability as VIP would be charged at D250:00, Covered pavilions at D25:00 and Uncovered pavilions at only D10:00 while School children would not be charged, meaning absolutely free.
