Job Purpose Facilitate and achieve on the field results by guiding and qualifying the Women’s National Team of The Gambia to regional, continental and global competitions.

 

Direct supervisor Technical Director
Main duties and responsibilities  

 

  –       To develop a strong & competitive Women’s National Team to compete at the highest level of international football

–       To prepare, train, coach and develop the Women’s National Teams for official and international friendly matches

–       Be the Head of the Women’s National Team Technical Set-up. However, you should be able to work collaboratively and effectively with all the other technical staff members

–       Communicate and liaise regularly with the Technical Director regarding relevant player matters.

–       To scout and identify players for the Women’s National Team supported by the Technical and Development Committee

–       To prepare programs and submit reports after any engagement of all Women’s National Team activities to the Technical Director for the attention of the Technical and Development Committee

–       Make sure that the players follow the rules and regulations as well as the Code of conduct and Ethics of the National Team. The Head Coach must also ensure outmost discipline, and at all times, whenever there is a National Team engagement.

–       To work and collaborate with the coaching staff of the Technical Department on all engagements

–       Collaborate with technical analysts to prepare relevant individual player and team footage and instructional materials.

–       To fully participate and support the grassroots and youth programs;

–       To serve as local instructor in Coach Education Programs;

–       To ensure all communication and information is approved by the Technical Director or the General Secretary before its release;

–       Any other Responsibility / Assignment given by the GS / TD

Key performance indicators –      Successes in the competitions like the WAFU Zone A Cup of Nations, qualification to the Women’s African Cup of Nations and the FIFA Women’s World Cup
Requirements  

–      Minimum five years’ coaching experience with a at least a CAF C License Coaching Certificate or an equivalent.

 

–      Excellent communication skills

 

–      Fluent in English and at least two local languages
