FIFA Pays Condolences To Gambia’s Fatima, Others

The Secretary General of FIFA Mrs Fatima Samoura has paid homage to all fallen football stakeholders that passed away in the recent period in one way or the other. Madam Samoura administered that agenda item at the FIFA Congress in Bahrain. Among the list of deceased players was Red Scorpions and Gambian goalkeeper Fatima Jawara that passed away in the Mediterranean waters while attempting to teach Italy.

Meanwhile, the GFF President is busy networking with his colleagues in Bahrain aimed at establishing links that will be beneficial to The Gambia Football Federation. It would be recalled that the hardworking Kaba has appointed by the CAF Boss Ahmed Ahmed to the confederation’s reform body. Other members of this prestigious committee hail from Ghana, Burkina Faso, Uganda, Botswana, Central Africa, Seychelles, Egypt and The Gambia. The eight man committee are expected to meet shortly in Gabon.

The Congress will wrap up on Thursday May 11th and the Gambian Officials are expected in Banjul afterwards.
