Week fourteen of the domestic second division league was played in midweek with the biggest winners being Bombada Football Club who annihilated Brufut United 6-0 on Wednesday. With the big win, Bombada moved to fourth on the 14-team table with 16 points.

Another big winners were leaders Sporting Real who survived a late scare to edge Jam City with the narrowest of margins in a seven goal thriller, while Team Rhino also saw off the challenge of Immigration 1-0. Sporting Real is on 30 points while second placed Waa Banjul, who also defeated Gunjur United 2-1 at the KG5 Mini Stadium in Banjul, is breathing right under their noses with just a point off the leaders. Gunjur remains third.

The action actually got underway on Tuesday when Latrikunda United inflicted another defeat on relation threatened Red Hawks 2-1. Serekunda East Bi and B4U Kiang West played out a 1-1 draw in the other fixture while Steve Biko beat 2nd Infantry Battalion 1-0 to move seventh on 20 points.

In the final game of the week, Young Africans defeated Lions of Banjul 1-0 in a Banjul derby played at the KG5 Mini Stadium on Thursday.
