The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) this Wednesday received sample referees’ uniforms from two Belgians as part of a 200-pair uniforms to be donated to Football House in the coming weeks.

In a brief ceremony held at the GFF Secretariat, the two Belgians, Salvador Garcia and Koen Meekers, acknowledged the efforts of Football House in the development strides made in our football and congratulated The Gambia for making it to the quarterfinals of the AFCON 2021 in its maiden appearance.

“We just came today to visit and acknowledge your efforts in promoting Gambian football and our wish is to donate to your organisation about 200 sets of referees uniforms to be forwarded to Gambian referees,” Mr. Garcia said. While showing the samples of the three sets of three colours (red, black and yellow) with shorts and shocks, Mr. Garcia highlighted that the full equipment will arrive in October 2022 for further distribution.

Speaking on behalf of the Federation, Kemo Ceesay, the Finance Director expressed gratitude to the donors for the foresight, noting that the items will be put into good use.

Seedy Manneh, the Referees Manager also made similar remarks, noting that this will go a long way in complimenting the efforts of the referees in the execution of their duties.

Present at the ceremony were Baboucarr Camara, Director of Marketing and Communication, Bakary B Baldeh, Communications Manager, Binta Bojang and Banna Darboe, both family members of the donors.
