Following the draw for the Championship of African Nations (CHAN – a continental competition meant for domestic based players only) qualifiers conducted by CAF, the GFF has finalized arrangements with their Senegalese counterparts for a friendly international on Friday 17th February between the two countries junior teams.

In light of this agreement, the Gambia Football Federation is pleased to further announce that the CHAN Team will leave Banjul on Wednesday 15th February for Mbour, Senegal where the proposed match is been scheduled to take place.

The Gambian team headed by Coach Alagie Sarr assisted by his team of technical staff which include Foday Bah and Abdoulie Bojang are expected to return home on Saturday 18th February. The friendly match will feature Senegal’s U-20 team while the Gambia will present its local based national side (CHAN).

The agreement is reached at between the Executive of the two sister Federations for countries junior teams to hone their skills ahead of the competitions they have signed in. The Gambia will take part in the CHAN qualifiers while Senegal is also bracing up for the forth coming U-20 Total Africa Cup of nations Zambia 2017.

The GFF promises to technically engage both the CHAN and the National Scorpions ahead of their CAF engagements.
