GFF 3rd Vice President and Scorpions Head of Delegation for the training camp in Portugal Rtd Gen Lang Tombong Tamba, has described the Scorpions camp mood in Algarve as positive and encouraging.
Gen Tamba was speaking to the GFF medium after the team’s tactical meeting held on Thursday morning ahead of the first international friendly to Congo (Brazzaville) scheduled for Friday 9th October, 2020.
“The morals are high here at camp and we have an excellent accommodation”, Gen Tamba noted. He said the Hotel facility at Algarve is one of the best in the Southern part of Portugal “because each player is allocated a room with all facilities fitted in and food is very good. So we can say the accommodation is up to standard. The boys are concentrating very well and the Coach is very satisfied about the arrangements“.
Reacting to the new call ups to the team for the first time, Gen Tamba said Coach Saintfiet is impressed with the comportment of the new entrants. “The new players are integrating well. Even the Coach is pleased with their interactions with the rest of the team and officials. They are all professionals and are quick and streamline together“.
The HOD further disclosed that the team and officials have all undergone Covid-19 tests as mandatory. “We are expecting the tests results on Friday 9th October, 2020″.
The Scorpions will face off Congo’s Red Devils on Friday 9th October, 2020 at the Estadio De Bela Vista at 5pm local time (4pm in Bjl). The second and final warm up will be four days later scheduled for Tuesday 13th October 2020 against Guinea Conakry.
