Real de Banjul and Marimoo will battle it out in the finals of the late Alhaji Omar Sey Memorial Football Tournament slated for Saturday July 6 at the Independence Stadium in Bakau with kickoff set for 8pm.

Winners of Group A, Marimoo started their run in a fantastic form opening their account with a 2-0 defeat of Gamtel. They also shared a point with The Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) and beat Brikama United 2-0, which gave them top spot in the group with 7 points, and a place in the finals. GAF that finished on 6 points in second missed out in the final stage.

Real de Banjul had a rough start in the tournament with their first two games been scoreless draws against Hawks and Fortune but defeated The Gambia Ports Authority to finish top of Group A with five points.

The two sides are now set for the super Saturday clash of the Titans in a cloudy and wet natural grass of the pitch as the fresh summer air breezes within the atmosphere. Real will be hoping for a double silverware after just been crowned FF Cup champions.

The winner of the final will live to retain and protect the iconic relic and legacy of the late Omar Sey.
