The North Bank Regional Football Association is bracing up to kick off its new league season this weekend with intriguing matches.
This year’s edition is set to coincide with the day Gambia would be celebrating its 57th independence anniversary. This Friday, Mayamba of Lower Nuimi will square off against Upper Badibou’s Farafenni.
On the same day, Jambar FC will open their campaign at home to Joko FC in the Mayamba football field. Farafenni United will also host neighbours Illiassa Academy on the same afternoon.
Meanwhile, Barra United is also set to host Kunta Kinteh at the Barra football ground while Rockland United will be taking on former second division side 2nd Infantry Battalion at the Farafenni football ground on Saturday 19th February, 2022.
There will be two games to be played to round off the weekend on Sunday when notable sides Essau United host Jokadou FC at the Essau football ground and Region United squares off with Star Academy at the Farafenni Mini Stadium with both matches kicking off simultaneously at 16:30GMT.
