Following the WAFU Zone A tournament draw held on Friday 6th November, Young Scorpions Coach Mattar Mboge has reacted to the groupings saying his side is been fully prepared for whatever comes their way.
The draw was held in Thies, where the Gambia is pitted in Group A with hosts Senegal and Sierra Leone while Champions Mali rub shoulders with Guinea, Bissau and Mauritania.

Mboge said the team is well equipped to face off any opponent in the tournament. “We are all feeling good at the moment and ready to face any opponent in the competition. Fortunately, we’ve played both teams in our previous tournament at Conakry and this will further help us know our weaknesses and strengths to improve prior to the tournament“, he said.
Mboge however said he will treat all opponents with equal respect and will avoid to be complacent.
