Jambar of Madina Kanuma are the champions of the 2018/19 North Bank Regional Football Association third division league following a 1-0 defeat of Kunta Kinteh Football Club of Toubalang on Sunday 7th July, 2019.

The game’s only goal was scored as early as the 6th minute of the first half courtesy of Yusupha Sarr. The rest of the match was a cagy affair and even though Kunta Kinteh launched a late surge to rescue the match, it proved too little too late.

As champions of NBR, Jambar will now join the champions of Lower River, Central River and Upper River Regions for the provincial version of the national triangular championship to determine the team that would join Falcons in the second division ahead of the 2019/20 season. The triangular will be played in the form of a round robin league format.

Yesterday’s final was attended by important dignitaries, including the Chairman of the region’s area council, the regional sports committee chairman, councilors, alkalolu, and the governor of North Bank. The trophy presentation was done by the chairman of the Kerewan Area Council Mr. Seedy Touray. The NBRFA President Mr. Abou Khan and his Executive Committee members were also present.
