The Gambia Ports Authority (GPA) bounced back from their humiliating 3-0 defeat to Fortune to beat Hawks 2-1 at the KG5 Mini Stadium in Banjul in the late Omar Sey memorial tournament on Friday.
GPA went into the break with a 1-0 advantage and even though Hawks fought back and leveled matters, the Ferry Boys had the last laugh as they found a way to restore their lead in the second half and held on for a very important win.
Elsewhere, at the Box Bar Mini Stadium in Brikama, Fortune were held to a goalless draw by Real de Banjul. The result now means the Petroleum Boys are on top of Group B with 4 points followed by GPA with 3 points while Real are bottom with just a single point from two matches.
