The President of the Gambia Football Federation Mr. LAMIN KABBA BAJO with this afternoon be among top Gambian football administrators in welcoming his FIFA counterpart Mr. Gianni Infantino to the country. The Swiss-Italian is leading a high-powered delegation comprising of FIFA Secretary General Fatma Samoura and Mr. Veron the head of Africa and Caribbean affairs at world football governing body.
It’s the second time a sitting FIFA President is coming go The Gambia after Joao Havelange in 1975. The CAF President Mr. Ahmad who was supposed to accompany Gianni would no longer be coming, the Confederation of African Football officials informed Football House last night.
Mr. Infantino and delegation will visit Football House and have a meeting with President Adama Barrow at State House before meeting football stakeholders at Football Hotel in Old Yundum and closes his visit with an interface with the media.
