The Gambia Football Federation has signed contract with two reputable enterprises for the supply of synthetic turf for Banjul (Banjul Mini Stadium) and Brikama (Box Bar Mini Stadium) at a brief ceremony held at Football House on Friday 23rd October, 2020.
The two renowned entities Coach’s Investment and Consulting and N’Joofen Enterprises have won the bids and are expected to start supply of the turf materials soon.
Ahead of the restart of competitions, the GFF is currently embarking on rehabilitation and refurbishment of grounds across the Greater Banjul Area for the hosting of League matches. Banjul and Brikama are among grounds to be rehabilitated with artificial turfs while Sere Kunda East, Sere Kunda West, Bakau and Manjai would all be refurbished with grass, perimeter fence, toilets and dressing rooms. The aforementioned grounds are already been installed with flood lights while works at the Gunjur Mini Stadium and NTTC in Yundum are progressing steadily.
Present at the signing ceremony were GFF 1st Vice President Alh Bakary K Jammeh, Executive member Sadibou Kamaso and GFF General Secretary Lamin M Jassey with representatives of the two suppliers.
