The Gambia Football Federation PRESIDENT LAMIN KABBA BAJO is rolling down his CAF engagements with an array of on the fringes discussion with his counterparts in Cairo.
Sequel to Kabba’s engagement with the Egyptian FA PRESIDENT at the beginning of the weekend, another bilateral one on one was held between The Gambia and Morocco where LAMIN KABBA BAJO met his Moroccan counterpart Mr. Fouzzi LEKJAA in Rabat on Monday October 16th for yet another fruitful meeting. The two presidents reviewed and discussed the existing bilateral cooperation between the Gambia and Morocco Football Federations which both agreed is being implemented satisfactorily.
Mr LEKJAA agreed to his Gambian counterpart’s request to continue hosting their national teams in training camps in Morocco anytime needed. He also promised to assist The Gambia in developing one football ground in the provinces.
Mr LEKJAA further promised to consider assisting the GFF with means of transportation for the national teams, amongst many others like in the area of technical development.
President BAJO’s visit to Rabat Morocco was at the invitation of the Moroccan Federation’s President and sponsored by his federation.
Fouzi LEKJAA is the president of the Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) and was recently elected as CAF 3rd Vice-President and is also the President of the CAF Finance Committee. He has been central in getting Morocco to the forefront of African football, culminating in several partnerships across the continent including the hosting of prestigious events such as the recently held CAF Symposium. Morocco was recently awarded the CHAN 2018 hosting rights after submitting their bid to replace original hosts Kenya. Morocco has also launched their bid to host the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
