Continuing their workshop on FIFA Infrastructure in Malawi, The Gambia Football Federation (GFF) officials have been given another nod by FIFA to highlight their infrastructure plans for the rest of the participants to take as a case study.
This is the second time in the workshop period that the GFF is been called to take to the podium. Thursday’s power point presentation was administered by General Secretary Lamin Jassey in front of more than fifteen other Member Associations in Blantyre where the GFF highlighted its development agenda which is premised on the National Football Development Plan (NFDP) and its quest to meeting up the FIFA Forward 2.0 procedures.
Mr. Jassey highlighted the Federation’s plans to accelerate the growth and development of football in The Gambia with special emphasis on infrastructure which cuts across all regions thus with a view to aligning the proposals with the Forward. He pointed out the Federation’s ongoing works at the grounds to standardise the playing fields and works to be done in the regions.
The Gambia’s infrastructure programmes are conceived by the GFF Executive and presented to stakeholders and subsequently approved at its General Assembly where it is now selling point for other Member Associations to emulate. FIFA has since identified The Gambia as an example of progressive Federations and a few countries that are successful in attaining the Forward 2.0 objectives.
The FIFA Seminar in Malawi is been attended by GFF 2nd Vice President Ebou Faye and accompanied by General Secretary Lamin Jassey. The Workshop is expected to wrap up on Friday.
