As enshrined in its National Football Development Plan (NFDP), the Gambia Football Football Federation will continue to champion the growth of women’s football across the country while improving the standard of women’s football throughout.
In light of this, the GFF under the unit of Gambia German Women’s Football Project will open a five days Intermediate Coaching Course for Coaches in GFF Female League Div 1 and 2 scheduled to kick off on Wednesday 25th September, 2019 at the National Technical Training Center in Yundum.
The training is set to feature 26 Females that formed the cohort of an earlier training meant as a start up held in January, 2019. According to Monica Staab Director of Gambia German Football Project, “the training is vital for the coaches hence it will serve as preparation ahead of the commencement of the new League season in December”. She said the five days program will be another new level for the female Coaches as “the training will be on two fold; theory in the morning and practical in the evening. We will train on how to organize training session, Coaches scheme and some other best practice norms. So it is going to be a follow up to the one we did it January with the same Coaches”.
