The Technical Working Group (TWG) Wednesday, held a day’s Budget Retreat Session at the Football Hotel for the effective implementation of the Gambia Football Federation 2021 Budget approved by members at the Annual General Meeting on the 26th December 2020. The Committee is the main linkage between the executive committee and the senior secretariat staff in terms of operational matters.
It is chaired by the 1stVice President Mr. Bakary K. Jammeh who is assisted by co-opted member, Mr. Sadibou Kamaso as the vice chairman and also consists of the General Secretary, the Heads of the various Departments and some units within the Federation.
The session was held in anticipation to ensure the smooth operations of the Federation in terms of Financial Management, Budgetary Control, Cashflow Management and Financial Reportingby ensuring the strict adherence to the Accounting Principles and the abolition of unplanned expenditure.
As the Federation anticipates receiving the first quarter of the Operational Support and the second tranche of the Covid19 from FIFA, the GFF’s Finance Committee, which is also chaired by Mr. Jammeh, is committed to ensuring that the financial rules are strictly adhered to. Thus, the need for the budget session with the Senior Management Team to ensure greater understanding of the approved Budget by all particularly the major cost centers of the Federation (Competition and Technical & development Departments) Monthly Cashflow Planning and strict adherence to FIFA Forward 2.0 Rules and Regulations.
The session was also attended by the President of the GFF Mr. Lamin Kabba Bajo.
