Telecom giants Gamtel/Gamcel Football Club are champions of GFF domestic 2017/18 League Season after they beat Steve Biko 1 nil to confirm their superiority at the domestic level.

With two match days to go, Gamtel could have waited until the penultimate or down the wire if closest challengers Real De Banjul had closed the gap by beating GPA at Tuesday night fixture. Ports Authority then refused to bow down and narrowly won Real one nil while results from Sere Kunda East confirmed Gamtel’s win over Biko and thus claiming their title-ship  of the 2017/18 League Season.

After 20 unbeaten games with 12 wins and 8 draws and with match days to go, Gamtel could only be crowned Champions at all cost and would be dressed up by the GFF soon.

The GFF President Lamin Kabba Bajo has quickly congratulated the Champions for their hard work and dedication and said the merit the club has achieved is not a surprise hence their consistency throughout. He further congratulated the team Head Coach Sulayman Kuyateh, players and the team management for a job well done.
