The Gambia have risen positively at world football ranking to three places at 163 after the World Football governing body FIFA released the standings on Thursday April 4.
The Gambia was on 166 at the last stage and it has now climbed up to three places at the April Rankings.
On the continent, the Gambia moved one place at 47 ahead of South Sudan, Djibouti, Chad and Somalia while Senegal are confirmed new top holders with Tunisia, Nigeria, Morocco and DR Congo coming behind.
The Gambia’s move both on the continent and at the global front is due amongst others to its 1-1 draw to Algeria away in Blida at the final Afcon Qualifiers where Scorpions Coach Tom Sainfiet guided his charges to a decisive away leg in Afcon Group D.
