The death has been announced of former Gambia international Alh Momodou Njie (Biri).
The late Football icon passed on Sunday 19th July 2020 at a Hospital in Dakar after a mild illness.
Biri, a well respected football icon, has earned himself legendary status and role model for many of the Gambia’s youths and around the continent. He is described as “Gambia’s all time best player”.
The former Wallidan prodigy was also a Football Ambassdor for the Gambia cradled from his traits in world football.
The Executive Committee of the GFF and Staff of the Federation expresses sincere condolences to the family of the late Biri Njie, government of the Gambia, close associates and members of the Football family.
May his soul rest in Peace.
