The Gambia continues to maintain its superiority over its Afcon 2021 preliminary rivals Djibouti. In the recent FIFA Coca Cola ranking, the release shows that the Gambia is five times higher than Djibouti at continental level and twenty times heavier at global level.

The rankings released in the month of September indicates the Gambia at 47th position on the continent with a total points of 988 following a slight drop from the previous release where the Scorpions gained 1006. The country is at 166 position on the global level while it’s AFCON Qualifier opponents Djibouti are on 52nd on the CAF raider occupying the last bottom positions on the continent’s ranking and 186 position at the world stage.

Senegal, Tunisia, Nigeria and Algeria are the top commanders on the continent while Belgium remain top of the World Ranking after an action-packed number of weeks in international football.

The next FIFA/Coca Cola World ranking would be released on 24th October, 2019.

The Gambia will resume its international football next month to Djibouti in the preliminary Qualifiers of the Total Afcon Cameroon 2021 with its first leg away in Djibouti City on the 9th October and the return leg in Banjul on the 13th October.
