The Gambia Football Federation domestic first division league continues on Thursday with two matches played in Basori and Old Yundum.
Reigning champions Fortune defeated Elite United 2-0 at the Live Your Dreams grounds in Basori to move up to sixth on the table. It is the third win in eight league matches for the Petroleum Boys while for the basement side, Elite, they can only boast of three points from the solitary match they’ve so far won and losing a remarkable eight.
Elsewhere, Hawks secured their third win of the season with a 1-0 defeat of Marimoo at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum. Hawks sits in ninth with 11 points.
Matches continue on Friday with Waa Banjul entertaining Real de Banjul at Old Yundum. Both teams are second on 16 points, a point adrift of leaders Wallidan, with Real only playing seven matches and Waa Banjul on eight games.
