The GFF’s project to increase its pool in capacity building continues to intensify as the new cohort of Teachers from the Banjul, Kanifing Municipality and the West Coast Region have completed the CAF D License training eye marked for Physical Education Teachers from the aforementioned Regions.

The participants were selected from twenty eight (28) Lower Basic Schools that earlier took part in the  GFF/ PetroGas Girls Grassroots Football program. The program organized by the GFF is been coordinated by Ms Monika Staab German/Gambia Women’s Football Chairperson.

Amongst topics discussed were Laws of the game coordinated by Retired Referee Mr Dickory Jawo and GFF Medical Officer Kalipha Manneh on First Aid. Regional Coaches Ensa Sambou and Ibrahim Kalil Dumbuya were also at hand as support staff.

The participants were inducted into practical and theoretical works and according to Staab, all passed with distinguished marks at the end of the week training.

It is expected that the knowledge gained will help the participants to enhance their skills and impact on the training for the boys and girls at the grassroots Level at the Schools
