The regional third division league of the North Bank will enter match day eight over the weekend. Six matches will be played across the two groups as the battle for promotion to the second-tier Gambian league gathers momentum.

In Group A, leaders Star Academy hosts third place Rockland United in Kerewan on Friday. Both sides have it all to play for as the two teams are separated by just a mere two points on the log with the former on top with 14 points.

On Saturday 24th April, bottom side Illiasa Academy will be looking for their first win of the season when they host their relegation rivals Mauritani United at the Illiasa football field. The hosts are rock bottom with only two points collected out of a possible 21 while their visitors are second from bottom with seven points. The final match day of the group will be on Sunday with second place Region United scheduled to take on Farafenni at the Farafenni Mini Stadium at 4:30pm. Region is second with 13 points while Farafenni is a further five points behind in fourth.

Meanwhile in Group B, the top teams will battle it out as Essau United will be hoping to collect all three points when they host leaders Kunta Kinteh FC at the Essau football field on Sunday 25th April, 2021 at 4:30pm. With just two points separating the two sides, Kunta Kinteh have so far collected 14 points from the seven matches they’ve played while Essau has 12, the battle to finish top would be a tightly fought one.

In other matches, bottom side Aljamdu will host third place Joko United. The hosts have five points while Joko is on nine. The final match day will see third place Barra United travel to Medina Kanuma to take on second from bottom Jambar United.
