On Sunday 28th April 2019, all top three teams in Group B of the West Coast Regional third division league secured victories over their respective opponents as the race to secure promotion to the second tier of The Gambia national league heats up.
Leaders Busumbala Sanjonding defeated 6th place KGH Sports 1-0 to move on 21 points from nine matches while the latter remains on just 10 points from the same number of matches.
Meanwhile, second place Greater Tomorrow made sure the gap between them and the leaders remains at a single point when they overcame fourth place Gambianos 1-0. Greater Tomorrow are on 20 points in second place while Gambinos collected 13 points from nine games.
Elsewhere, GCAA/BIA made sure they keep close distance with the top two with a 2-0 win over second from bottom Kombo Kerewan FC. With the win, GCAA/BIA are now on 19 points, just two points adrift of the leading duo.
