The Scorpions continue their training camp in Portugal and Wednesday’s session is been boosted by the arrival of Vice Captain Omar Colley who jetted into Algarve early morning of the day to join his mates.

The Sampdoria defender is named in the Scorpions final list for the ten days training camp in Portugal where the team is scheduled to engage in two international friendly matches with Congo (Brazzaville) slated for Friday 9th October and a second friendly with Guinea scheduled for Tuesday 13th October 2020 in Algarve. The two matches are part of technical preparations ahead of the resumption of Afcon Qualifiers in November 2020.The Gambian defender who nearly made a move to Fulham in the English Premier League for a Four year deal was warmly welcomed by his colleagues at camp happily receiving the player that inspires the team.

Speaking to GFF website www.gambiaff.org upon his arrival at the team’s VICTORIA Sport and Beach Hotel, OJ said “ I am happy to finally arrive and join my mates. Seeing all the boys around is one of the best feelings. I am always pleased to represent my country and to share these great moments with all the boys“, he happily noted.

A few other players are expected to join the Scorpions at camp to complete the full squad. Meanwhile Coach Tom Saintfiet continues to hone the skills of the players while assessing the new faces called up to the team.
