The Gambia National Team (Scorpions) have on Tuesday 10th November 2020 conducted the mandatory Covid-19 tests ahead of the much awaited Afcon Qualifier between Gabon and The Gambia scheduled for Thursday 12th November 2020 at Stade Franceville.

The Covid-19 tests is sanctioned by CAF to be conducted 48 hours before Kick off to establish the Covid-19 status of players and officials although similar tests were initially conducted on each player at their bases before traveling out.

All members of the Scorpions are Covid-19 negative. Further tests were carried at the Libreville Airport on Saturday when the first batch of team and local officials arrived.

The tests were conducted at the team’s Park Inn Hotel by Gabon Local Health Officials under the watchful eyes of Scorpions Team Dr Landing Jarju and GFF Medical Committee Chairman Dr Omar Sey with assistance from Head of delegation and Exco Member Modou Sowe and Team Manager Ousman Drammeh.

The team will be out for its first training session on Tuesday afternoon before wrapping up its second and final session in Libreville on Wednesday afternoon.
