Gambia’s two prodigies at FC Bologna in Italy’s Serie A are seemingly the face of attention as just again at mid week, Musa Barrow returned to his scoring ways after he slotted a last gasp goal for his FC Bologna side loosing 2-1 against Sassuolo.
At the weekend match day for Bologna’s Gambia pair away to Inter Milan with their emphatic 2-1 win, reactions to the duo’s performances and goals continue to attract world attention.
Scorpions Team Manager Ousman Drammeh well known for his Sobriquet Cho is the latest to add his comments on the exploits of BARROW and JUWARA at FC Bologna. Cho has quickly described the pair’s outings in Serie A as a “Landmark achievement“.

Speaking to the Federation website www.gambiaff.org, Cho said the performance of the Gambian starlets is a clear indication that Gambian football is rising with pace. “It is a clear indication that football is developing in the country and Gambian players are getting into higher heights“, Scorpions TM noted. Musa Juwara is yet to receive a call up by the Scorpions Coach but having had Barrow in the ranks of the National Team in all its outings, Cho is very much familiar with the FC Bologna hit man and thus believes that, “If we can produce players that play top European Leagues like the Serie A, play against big teams and get very good results, particularly helping their teams to win those matches, then I think the Gambia has something to be very proud of“. He said their results at the foreign leagues will “reignite our hope in trying to make it to the Afcon Finals” (Which is now adjourned to January 2022).
The B/K Milan CEO added that the Campaign to the AFCON is one of the main preoccupation of the National Team and the GFF. “It’s a big moment for the country and a proud moment for all of us. We hope they can replicate the performances in subsequent matches“, he concluded.
