Italian Serie A side FC Bologna continue to attract Gambian interests as Musa Barrow and his compatriot Musa Juwara entices attention as the latest been the pair’s scintillating performance in their marvelous win over Inter Milan 1-2 at the San Siro over the weekend.

Bologna’s win over Inter Milan has positively sparked reactions by the world media and pundits across the football spectrum, many including Goal.com describing the performance as “made in Gambia“.

In his quick reaction to the pair’s performance, Scorpion’s Head Coach Tom Saintfeit has described it as “Fantastic goals” in a fantastic game. “It’s very impressive and I feel very proud. Naturally, the performance of the lads and goals made the Gambia unique“.

Saintfiet who is closely monitoring the array of Gambian players across Europe further stated that he’s impressed with their level of performances. He said Barrow and Juwara are good prospects for Bologna and has no doubt about their continuity in performance for the Serie A Side. He however cited Scorpions Captain Omar Colley as having a great game in their 3-0 win over Spal. Saintfiet’s monitoring of the lads span through Denmark, Norway, Slovakia, Switzerland, Turkey, Poland and all over.

He said having young Gambian players scoring at such high levels is unique and a great achievement. “Its not a surprise that the boys can perform on that level. The two Moses attracted world attention when their Bologna side beat Inter Milan 2-1 at the San Siro on Sunday evening with both goals from the Gambian duo denying Inter vital points to coming very close to the Serie A leaders. Juwara leveled the scores 65th minutes when he came on as substitute for FC Bologna after Inter Milan earlier opened the scoring through former Manchester United striker Romelu Lukaku 22 minutes from kick off. Juwara’s Gambian compatriot Musa Barrow placed a left footed under neat shot to nail the coffin 2-1 capping off a vital win for Bologna at San Siro.

The goal was Musa Juwara’s first goal in Serie A, whereas Musa Barrow’s 6th goal for Bologna having recorded six goals in eleven matches since joining his new club on loan, scoring in three consecutive games.

Both Barrow and Juwara are two of Gambia’s prides and potential elements on which the Gambia national team could count on.
