Red Scorpions and The Gambia Police Force continue their dominant start to the season by recording their fourth straight wins of the season over the weekend.

Until match day four, the duo was neck-on-neck with Abuko United at the top of the eight-team table but United lost their 100% record when they succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to the Scorpions at the Late Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum. The Police also secured a similar scoreline win over Kintehs to go joint top with 12 points but it is the free scoring Red Scorpions that lead the way on goal difference.

Elsewhere, over the weekend, Brikama United’s stuttering start to the season continues as they suffered their fourth straight loss on the bounce with a 3-2 defeat to The Gambia Armed Forces, while Immigration and City Girls could only draw goalless in Old Yundum.

Sunday’s draw was the first point secured by City Girls since the start of the league, while Abuko United has now dropped to third on nine points and Immigration is breathing right behind them in fourth, two points adrift. Brikama and Kintehs remained at the base of the log without to record a point.

In the second division, Lower Nuimi defeated Jeshwang United 1-0 at the Jarra Soma Mini Stadium while Raptim were 3-1 winners over Hart FC in Kiti and Future Bi saw off the challenge from Berewuleng 2-1.
