The curtains have been drawn down over the weekend in the North Bank Regional Football Association’s Women’s League when Lower Niumi and Upper Niumi faced off at the Essau playing ground to contest for the coveted title.

The two Niumis claimed their supremacy in Women’s football in the North Bank Region when they square off each other again for the second time and this note on a Final berth.

Having qualified from the group stages that consists of six teams without much efforts against their mates, Lower Niumi reached to the fore after claiming top spot with the highest number of points to be able to face off Upper Niumi that also showed consistency from their end.

At the weekend final in Essau, hosts Lower Niumi thrashed Upper 4-1 to finish as Champions of the NBR Women’s league.

As Champions Lower Niumi received D15,000:00 ( Fifteen Thousand Dalasis ) while Upper Niumi were consoled D10,000:00 ( Ten Thousand Dalasis ) as Runners Up.

The Final was attended by NBRFA President Abou Khan and Executive Committee Members of the Association with a cross section of football stakeholders in the North Bank Region
