League Competition Returns With Intriguing Matches

GFF League Matches resume this weekend following the Christmas and New Year break with intriguing Fixtures across the designated grounds.

Leaders GAF will wait until Monday 6th January when they take on GPA that sits 12th on the fourteen team table with only a solitary point to amend their woes from the drop zone. Wallidan FC and Gamtel will blaze the trail on Friday 3rd January when the 3rd and 6th spots rub off shoulders at the Banjul Mini Stadium. The Blue Boys are just a point behind the telecom giants at the end of Week Three (Gamtel 6 points, Wallidan 5 points).

Real De Banjul will hope to make a comeback to the summit when they take advantage over bottom club B/K Milan’s win less streak scheduled for Friday 3rd January 2020 at the Box Bar in Brikama. Milan however will have to surmount the task that could finally see their first win of the season for their New Year endorsement.

Two matches will be installed on Saturday 4th January where Marimoo hosts Brikama United at the Manjai Football Field. The Manjai based outfit are at the garbage position while Brikama sits joint fifth. The New Year weekend will also feature Elite United taking on Banjul United at the KG5 in Banjul. A pairing that commentators described as the match of the weekend. Elite are ninth while the Capital based side drops at eleventh on 4 points.

Hawks and Fortune FC takes on each other on Sunday 5th January at the Banjul Mini Stadium. Hawks are second on 6 points while Fortune 8th place occupants will hope to move up when they take on the Reds in another entertaining schedule over the weekend.

In League Two, 2nd Infantry and Latri Kunda United go head to head on Friday 3rd January at the Soma Mini Stadium opening Week Four of the Season while Sere Kunda East Bi resumes their season when they host Falcons at the Sere Kunda East Mini Stadium. To end the day’s schedule, PSV Wellingara will host Jam City at the Manjai Kunda Mini Stadium.

Two Matches will be payed on Saturday 4th January wherein B4Kiang West and Steve Biko will also square off at the Soma Mini Stadium while Red Hawks and Immigration descend to the Sere Kunda East ground.
