Ahead of the Total Africa Cup of Nations Final 2019 slated for Friday July 19, the Confederation of African Football (CAF) is scheduled to hold its 41st  Ordinary Congress on Thursday July 18 which will also culminate into the draw for the African Nations Championship and the pairings for the preliminary Rounds of the Afcon 2021 Qualifiers.

GFF President and member of Afcon 2019 Organising Committee Lamin Kaba Bajo has headed a high powered delegation of Officials from the Gambia Football Federation to the CAF Convergence at the Marriot Hotel Palace in Cairo. Mr Bajo is been joined by President of North Bank Regional Football Association (NBRFA) and Exco Member Mr Abu Khan and also accompanied by GFF Finance Director Kemo Ceesay.

The high level convergence will discuss amongst others the election of members into CAF Executive Committee, Review of CAF Finance and budget for impending Competitions.

The Gambian officials will also be counted amongst colleagues to witness the Final of the Total Afcon between Senegal and Algeria scheduled for Friday July 19th at the Cairo International Stadium. The Gambia will be proud again for having its illustrious son Bakary Papa Gassama scheduled as 2nd Asst Video Assistant Referee ( VAR) while Cameroonian Alioum Alioum will be Central Referee.
