Gambia Football Federation General Secretary Lamin M Jassey on Thursday April 19th embarked on the second leg of his familiarization tour of Regional Football Associations. The resumption of the second and final trek of the tour took the GS to the Greater Banjul Area where he interfaced with stakeholders on a wide range of issues.

At the Banjul meeting, General Secretary Jassey reiterated that the tour is meant to familiarize himself with the regional stakeholders and discuss with them matters of common interest. He said as CEO of the Football Secretariat, his vision is to embolden the spirit of collective responsibility and team work at Football House. ‘ I have a vision of strategic governance system with the support of the Senior Management Team ( SMT )’

The GFF General Secretary also congratulated the Banjul Football stakeholders for what he described as their continued support and steadfast towards football development in the country. ‘ Banjul should be proud of their history because organized football started here in the capital city’.

The stakeholders also discussed on various issues with the GS ranging from grassroots football projects, local tournaments in Banjul and the need for mobility in order to run their programs effectively.

A similar meeting was also held at the KM Regional Office where General Secretary Lamin M Jassey unveiled his strategic vision and said it is all inclusive for the general stakeholders. He congratulated the KM for their resolve for a new leadership and said the GFF is always ready to work and support all Regional Football Associations. Mr Jassey said his mission is to continue the familiarization visit to the regions. ‘ KM is the biggest Football Region in the Gambia and most of our organized footballs are played in the area’.

Other speakers at the meeting also include Mr Adama Sabally Youth and Sports Senior Sports Coordinator who called on the stakeholders to disregard their differences and work towards the interest of Football and the athletes. Mr Sabally calls for unity amongst the stakeholders and thanked the GFF for the initiative. KMRFA President Pa Yusu Samba also congratulated the GFF for the open door policy and said the KMRFA will continue to work with the leadership of the GFF to realizing their dreams.

The GFF General Secretary is accompanied by Deputy General Secretary Abdou Salaam Jammeh, Technical Director Sang Ndong, Referee Manager Seedy Manneh and Human Resources Manager Baboucarr Camara. The tour continues to the West Coast Region on Friday April 20th
