The new General Secretary will hold his first meeting in Soma LRR on Saturday afternoon where he will engage with the RFA and football stakeholders in the region. In a bid to strengthen and cement the GFF’s initiative of implementing the FIFA Contract of Agreed Objectives which is the building and renovation of playing grounds in the regions for 2018 amongst others, GS Jassey will use the tour to further implore the Regional stakeholders to assure them of the football leadership’s ardent and quick desire to kick off the project soon but to also urge the stakeholders to glue together their intentions to achieving one of The Gambia Football Federation’s strategic goals.
‘The tour will further give me an opportunity to understand the structures at the regions and to know their successes and constraints as well. My doctrine is collectivism and it is my fervent belief that lots of work has been registered in the regions but I want us to be part of them and for them to see us physically instead of creating a distance between us’.
Mr Jassey’s second phase of the tour will take him to the Greater Banjul Area where similar meetings will be held in West Coast, KM and Banjul. The new GS will also interact with partners and key movers in Football Development such as the National Sports Council, GNOC, Sports Journalists Association of The Gambia, GFF Super Nawettan Committee amongst others all meant to familiarize his role with the key stakeholders.
