The Gambia Football Federation Officials led by 1st Vice President Alh Bakary K Jammeh have arrived in South Africa to take part for the third time in the FIFA Football Executive Training Programme at the Nelson Mandela University in Port Elizabeth, South Africa.

The program is a FIFA’s collaborative project with the International Centre for Sports Studies and the Nelson Mandela University in South Africa for training of African General Secretaries and top officials in charge of FIFA forward 2.0 programs.

The programme is an equivalent to a Masters degree for a compulsory five sessions modular course that will run from October 2019 to July 2020. This is the third leg training package for the football officials following the completion of the first and second sessions in October and December 2019 where the GFF took active part in.

The Manager of the FIFA Forward 2.0 project in the Gambia is GFF 1st Vice President Alh Bakary K Jammeh who also heads the Gambian officials at the Port Elizabeth forum where the Senior Officials will be engaged on Communications, Regulations and procedures as part of Modules 5 and 6 of the third session. Mr Jammeh will lead the GFF team to engage on a series of sessions with their counterparts across Africa and FIFA on the Forward Project transferring his array of knowledge on the Program that earned the Gambia applause when the GFF was nominated by FIFA as a case study for other Associations and Federations to emulate from hence the Gambia’s wealth of understanding of the Forward 2.0 requisition format.
