A closely contested affair in match day seven of the GFF league Division One ended on Tuesday with Gamtel securing an important 2-1 win over Brikama United at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.
The win sees Gamtel moved six places up the table to fourth with 10 points. It was a moral boosting three points for the Telecom Boys after their early struggle in the league saw them accumulate a meager three points from six matches.

Brikama United, probably still struggling to come to terms with the sudden demise of their favorite son and former Coach Sulayman Kuyateh, who died last Thursday, remains ninth on the 14-team table with seven points, lying behind Elite United who played a game less.
Meanwhile, in the second division, Team Rhino and Serrekunda East Bi shared the spoils in a 1-1 stalemate. The result means the Rhinos remain 11th on the 16-team table, lying right behind Latrikunda United while East Bi is ninth position with as many points.
Matches continue in midweek with Gambia Armed Forces (GAF) entertaining BK Milan at the Independence Stadium on Wednesday in the top flight. In the Second Division, Red Hawks will face Steve Biko at the Live Your Goals Sports Academy in Basori and PSV Wellingara hosts Latrikunda United at the Ousman Saho Football Field in Old Yundum.
