The power of Nuha at the service of the UCAM Murcia attack, an absolute international with The Gambia, the forward comes from Recreativo Granada for the 2021/22 season. This was how the Spanish side welcomed Nuha Marong-Krubally on its official website following his latest move.

Nuha, 28, born in Santa Coloma de Farners, Catalonia, Spain, to Gambian parents, joined Universidad Catolica de Murcia Club de Fútbol, commonly known as UCAM Murcia. He is a powerful striker with a goal threat and with great experience in the Spanish third tier.

“At just 20 years old, he achieved promotion to the Second Division with Llagostera. There he played more than 500 minutes and scored one of the goals against Nástic in the last game of the playoff that helped to secure promotion for them. In 14/15, the footballer was on loan to Sant Andreu where he played 29 games. Before signing for the Osasuna subsidiary, the footballer shone with Elche Ilicitano, on loan, where he scored 28 goals,” UCAM Murcia said in a statement.

“His next destination was Atlético Saguntino where he scored a whopping nine goals. Thanks to his good work, Nuha signed with Atlético Baleares in 2018/19. With the island team, he scored thirteen goals that helped them to be champions of Group III of Second Division B.”

That brilliant season show him moved a division up after he was offered several offers by big teams but he ended up at Racing Santander in the Second Division, where he played half a season. He started 12 of the 19 games he played in and scored three goals before he moved to Recreativo Granada in 2020. There he played 34 games in a season and a half and scored six goals.

Speaking to www.gambiaff.org, Scorpions Head Coach Tom Saintfiet described Nuha’s recent move as a good one for him, because he is moving to a team that shares similar ambitions with him in playing in a higher level in the Spanish football pyramid.

Nuha first visited The Gambia for the first time in his formative years and never returned until March this year when he was part of the history-making Scorpions team that secured a maiden AFCON appearance. His parents originated from Badibou but since their demise at a very young age, he has lost contact with all relatives in the west African country.
