The Gambia Football Federation has received an invitation from their Qatari counterparts for an international football friendly involving their National U-23 side.
Following the acceptance of the offer, the Gambia will travel to Qatar on Wednesday 13th November 2019 to honor the invitation with Coach Mattar M’boge’s National team for the friendly with Qatar’s National U23 side scheduled for Saturday 16th November 2019. The team will return to Banjul on Monday November 18th.
Reacting to the gesture, Coach Mattar M’boge said the friendly will help his side prepare better ahead of the Wafu tournament in Guinea later in November. “The friendly will be a very good platform for us in our technical preparations for the Wafu tournament”.
The Gambia Football Federation expressed gratitude to their Qatari counterparts for the warm gesture accorded them while felicitating them further for the provision of airfares, accommodation, local transport and other essential logistics.
The team will be headed by GFF 2nd Vice president Mr Ebou Faye.
