Gambia CHAN Team Gears Up For Double Legged Friendly

The Gambia Football Federation on Monday March 20th convened a Media briefing ahead of its double legged friendly international match with Morocco slated for Sunday 26th March and Tuesday 28th March at the Independence Stadium in Bakau.

At the briefing held on Monday afternoon, the GFF says entry tickets for both matches are as follows: VIP D300, Covered pavilions at D50, and D25 for all the other Stands. The Federation says all sectors of the society are been catered for and thus urged the general public to turn up en mass to support their local based National team (CHAN).

Ahead of the matches, the GFF invited Head coaches for Wallidan Foday Bah and Steve Biko’s Abdoulie Bojang to step in for the technical assignment of the team while Head Coach Alagie Sarr continues with his club commitments with GPA FC in the CAF Confederations Cup.

At the Monday briefing, Coach Foday Bah first thank the Football leadership for the trust and confidence reposed on them to take charge of the National team. ‘ Our preparation is on course after when we were called by the GFF for the task. We have all our players in tact except for two players who are called up for senior team duties in Morocco’. Foday said the team trains daily at the Independence Stadium under the supervision of the technical staff.

Assistant Coach ABDOULIE BOJANG said the selected players are ready for the task and would do their utmost to respect the engagement. ‘ The players are from different clubs with different philosophy and so we will inject in them what are plans are for the CHAN team. We are young coaches aimed to better Gambian football’.

The Gambian team goes to camp on Friday 24th March at the Friendship Hostel ahead of the friendly.
